**The Role: IBA Finance Manager (6-month Fixed Term Contract)**
As an IBA Finance Manager at Barbon Group, you will assume a pivotal role in one of our largest businesses. You will take charge of Let Alliance finance operations, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of day-to-day tasks while actively seeking opportunities for process enhancement. Your role will entail close collaboration with team members within the finance department and across the organisation.
**Responsibilities**:
- Serve as the primary finance contact for one of Barbon's largest businesses.
- Forge strong partnerships with team members to guarantee the precise completion of tasks.
- Execute monthly responsibilities, including tasks such as invoicing, commission calculations, and payments, preparing Sage imports, bank reconciliations, DD submissions, and allocations.
- Collaborate with the MI team to maintain data accuracy and reliability.
- Analyse monthly variances and address internal and external inquiries.
- Document end-to-end processes, suggest improvements, and work with finance & business colleagues to implement them.
- Challenge existing workflows to drive efficiency and cost savings.
- Coordinate with finance functions at both local and Group levels as necessary.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and conduct necessary analyses.
**Experience**:
- Part-qualified accountant or a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
- Proven ability to successfully lead and develop a team.
- Proficiency in day-to-day finance duties such as invoicing and month-end activities.
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend performance metrics and elucidate variances to plan.
- Experience in process improvement, with a knack for identifying opportunities to streamline workflows.
- Comfortable working with large and complex data sets.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with using Sage software.
