**Workshop Operative**

As a leading brand of mobility access, we specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of mobility products in vehicles, to assist with independence. Our head office is based in Lancashire; from here we operate a nationwide service with over 150 accredited partners to support us up and down the country.

This exciting opportunity is for a Workshop Operative to join Elap’s ever growing team and will receive many benefits including private healthcare, workplace pension and 25 days holiday (excluding statutory) etc...

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am-5pm and 8:30am
- 4pm Friday

**Salary**: Negotiable based on experience

**Roles and responsibilities;**
- To manufacture a variety of products out of steel in our workshop using a variety of machinery and equipment including press brakes, drills, saws, lathes, welders etc
- To assemble products including wiring motors, building steel components, collating fitting kits etc..
- To manufacture bespoke solutions to assist customers independence
- To assist with aspects of goods out and in including dispatching parts to partner companies and receiving parts in through our goods in system
- To collect vehicles for installations where required
- Design, fabricate, test, draw and install vehicle specific mounting brackets for seats and transfer boards
- Have experience designing and developing metal components
- Have experience using CAD
- Be organised and self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Have a working knowledge of all aspects of workshop equipment, tools, machines and safety equipment
- Understand the importance of health and safety
- Have a full driving licence

Experience within a manufacturing role would be advantageous, however full training will be provided.
