Balfor are looking for an experienced Passenger Assistant based in the Birmingham area to work with one of our clients.

As a passenger assistant you will be ensuring that the children with special needs are escorted to and from school safely.

The children’s needs will vary in medical and behavioural conditions, and it will be your job to pupil guide them safely with care and considering their wellbeing during the journey. This is a vital role, and you will liaise with the parents, school and Travel Assist team.

This position is a casual role so you may be required to cover sickness, absences or cover new routes at short notice.

**Requirements include**:

- Previous experience working/caring for children with special needs.
- Previous experience as a pupil guide.
- Clear communication skills.
- First aid training.
- Team Teach Training (preferred).
- Safeguarding Training.
- Harness Training.
- BSL Training.
- Autism Training.
- Learning Disability Training.
- Epilepsy Training.
- Medication Training.
