Your new role:
The Head of Quality Control will be responsible for a team of Regional Quality Control Managers and will be directly involved in providing support to Robertson Construction Group Board, its Regional Business Units, and their Project Teams.
**What you'll do**:
- The HoQC will lead on the development, implementation and continuous improvement of our QC Processes and Procedures across the full RCG Project Lifecycle and RCG Business Units
- The HoQC will provide leadership of the QC function, with dotted line responsibility for a team of Regional Quality Control Managers (RQCM’s). The RQCMs will provide regional support in the deployment of our QC Processes and procedures, as well as providing specific support in QC planning, advice and knowledge share
- Working with our Business System and Digital Team. The HoQC will be responsible for the adoption of digital tools to support QC planning and management on our projects. Working with the Business Systems Team and Regional Teams to ensure support is in place to enable full adoption of, and best in class use of digital tools (Such as BIM360), to support quality control planning and management on all of our projects
- Working with RQCM’s develop and provide a programme of QC training/familiarisation to our regional teams including, supplier provided CPD sessions, project lessons learned and other industry available course such as those provided by the Get It Right Initiative (GIRI)
- Working with RQCMS perform regular reviews of QC project compliance, providing support to teams as necessary to improve adoption/use of our management system
- Working with RQCMS, provide board level reports on Regional/Project QC issues/trends by building types, works packages and specific suppliers, that we can then use as key lessons learned and improvement areas
**What you'll need**:
- Experienced people leader able to work with, lead and support multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience supporting the planning, implementing, monitoring and improvement of quality assurance and control in relation to site activities.
- Experience and understanding of quality issues within construction. Main focus to be quality but knowledge of environmental and health & safety issues would be beneficial.
- Have a good knowledge of construction processes and standards.
- Must be able to evaluate information to assess compliance with requirements and identify improvement opportunities. This should include the ability to analyse data to identify trends.
- Professional and/or Trade based Qualifications and relevant experience
- Confident in working with Senior Management and able to challenge existing ways of working to support business improvement.
- Excellent industry awareness of current/emerging technologies and processes associated with Modern Methods of Construction
- Experience is using and implementing digital QC field checking tools such as ‘Snagmaster’, ‘BIM360 Field’, ‘Procore’ or ‘Viewpoint’
- Experience is using document management systems such as ‘Viewpoint’, ‘4 Projects’, ‘Asite’ or ‘BIM360’
