**About the role**

We are looking for an experienced Head of Food to join us on a 9 months fixed term contract covering Maternity Leave.

Reporting into the Commercial Director you will drive & deliver the food strategy for LEON across all food service formats and menus. You are also responsible for delivering commercial, operationally-sound and innovative menus.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Brand & NPD
- Deliver products & menus fitting the set strategic direction - own brand direction & menu fit
- Deliver cohesion with marketing, operations and other teams - main point of contact for the food team
- Deliver range, product & process optimisation for sales improvement & cost reduction while upholding brand fit
- Lead the factory trial scale up through planning, organising and overseeing production trials to meet quality & timeline expectations

Team Management
- Drive creativity within the development chef team, while holding to commercial objectives
- Drive food quality & operational excellence with the food implementation and training team
- Lead the weekly Food meeting presentation alongside the development team
- Line manage the food team to:

- Deliver KPIs
- Protect and structure workload
- Support with personal development
- Point of NPD supplier escalation

Quality & Continuity of supply
- Drive & manage the LEON quality agenda
- Track NPS and initiate improvements with operations & suppliers as applicable
- Support the supply chain team with ad hoc emergency changes

International
- Own the LEON brand entry into new markets & deliver a brand aligned menu that has local market fit with optimised sales & operations

Critical Path management
- Own menu launch critical path management for UK & International launches, across the business functions from research, through concept to launch

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Hold a true passion for product, 5+ years working in a food supply or retail business
- Previous experience in a product-led role
- Creative and innovative thinker, a real passion for delivering for customers
- Proven leadership skills, capable of motivating and inspiring people to deliver change and opportunity
- Excellent project management skills
- Great communication skills - verbal and written
- Ability to build relationships across levels, departments and markets
