**Job Description**:
We are looking for Planner or scheduler with the technical ability to develop, enhance and maintain proven planning tools to aid business performance, who will join the SEGULA Technologies growing UK Rail Engineering team to support one of our valued clients.
You will be entrusted with following responsibilities:
- Planning of all component parts across site, including point of receipt, rework, reassembly, test, and dispatch.
- Ensuring the business can account for all customer assets, sub-components and maintain configuration control in line with contractual and technical standards and regulations.
- Considering all required parts, people, production capacity (footprints) and equipment/tooling required to achieve the daily demand.
- Managing daily communication of production progress and feed into the Master Production Plan, highlighting risks, associated actions and successes as appropriate.
- Supporting the Head of Operations and Planning manager prepare detailed reports for the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning process to enable longer term strategic planning to take place on New Business, Skills and Competency, Site Investment and Headcount.
- Ensuring all planning tools are in place to analyse required hours for all activities.
- Maintaining good float records and implement robust controls for agreement whilst material replacements are on order.
- Monitoring and reporting WIP and Inventory (finished goods) against the standard rules for the area.
- Supporting and working with the Planning Manager to drive continuous improvement to enhance the planning process.
- Promoting the health and safety of all persons within their department.
**Qualifications**:
**Essential**:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a planning and/or scheduling role
- Experience of data and statistical analyses and trending
- Good understanding of Excel, Microsoft Projects (or similar project planning tools) and ERP systems (Oracle, SAP or similar)
**Desirable**:
- Experience in rail industry (or similar)
- Knowledge of the product and Railway terminology
Additional Information
- 3 - 6 month fixed term or inside IR35 contract
