We are looking for an innovative Digital Product Owner to join our product team and ensure that our products remain competitive. This role will be based in our Norwich office.

**The role**

A Product Owner will support the product manager in existing, development and the launch of new products. This is a wide and varied role in a fast paced change environment in which you will represent the interests of business stakeholders.

A Product Owner will be need to understand and define requirements to create a product activity log. Serving as a primary point of contact to recognize the requirements of the product for the development team.

Work with support teams to solve issues that arise in day to day running of the product to mitigate and minimise impact to the operation, including scheduling, monitoring, reporting, intervention, escalation and communication as required.

The role will require you to interact with data, customers, and other stakeholders to get inspired with new ideas and ways to improve and evolve the product suite. You will be expected to support and manage projects, third parties and stakeholders to successfully deliver change.

Reporting through to the Digital Products & Experience team within the Global Transformation Office (Operations & Technology), you will successfully support the shaping and delivery of Marsh’s most significant, large scale, complex programs against the global strategic transformation and change agenda.

**Product Owner Responsibilities**:

- Reporting to the Product Manager and collaborating with the product development team.
- Translating Product Managers' strategies to development user stories
- Managing and prioritising the product backlog aligning to business goals where required.
- Gathering product data, including analytics, statistics, and trend analysis.
- Analysing consumer research data and recording product defects.
- Maximise the value delivered by the product development team and ensuring that the activity is aligned with customer and stakeholder needs
- Determining improvements to product features.
- Preparing project status and risk management reports.
- Support training of internal departments on new product features and providing support to customers.
- Developing efficient customer communication and feedback channels.
- Collaborating with product team members to define the product vision and product strategy
- Speaking to customers to gather feedback
- Developing the product roadmap and product requirements
- Analyzing data for problems and potential solutions
- Working with other departments to ensure product deadlines are met
- Preparing for product launches
- Manage, prioritise, and assess the impact of all work items, such as new features, defects,, including providing the decision to create, fix or defer at the project level
- Collecting, understanding, and transmitting the business requirements for change, and translating these into a requirements specifications, detailed test and deployment plans.
- Assist the business to articulate and decide on prioritization of requirements delivery
- Work with the business owners to define acceptance criteria
- An aptitude for problem solving, with the ability to take a logical route to the source of an error and overcome technical challenges as part of the development process.
- Excellent communication, time management and teamwork skills.
- Ability to self-motivate with a strong desire to learn and ability to be flexible.
- A working knowledge of current business processes and the ability to understand new business processes.
- An understanding of workflow based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram, and to illustrate a written process description as a workflow diagram.

- Support and lead product discovery exercises focused on crystallizing the end-user needs and curating demand in your digital product domain.
- Contribute to and help maintain a detailed and robust product roadmap including resources, scope, schedule, cost, assumptions, dependencies, etc.
- Manage the conversion of high-level business requirements and use-cases into detailed functional specifications and user-stories
- Coordinate with colleagues focused on data standards and governance to ensure product alignment with key data efforts
- Undertake regular work stream meetings, documenting and following-up on actions and risks identifies from the meetings and escalate where needed, while ensuring remediation action plans are implemented
- Partner with colleagues in UX and Design to ensure delivered product experiences are easy to use, scalable, and enjoyable.
