Truro, United Kingdom Travaux Sauvages ta Wildworks Full time

**Wildworks is the UK’s leading landscape theatre company.**

From our base in Cornwall we make site-specific theatre with communities locally, nationally and internationally. We reach audiences and collaborators all over the globe. Everyone is invited.

Our work attracts people who do not go to the theatre. We’re to be found on beaches and woodlands, car parks, nightclubs and disused quarries, anywhere from derelict department stores to medinas, and from refugee camps to castles.

Can you bring your financial skills and acumen to support a growing team? An increase in project delivery means we are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our Cornwall based arts organisation.

As Finance Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the Finance Manager and management team with the maintenance of the financial operations of the organisation. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and efficient financial record-keeping, reporting, and compliance for project accounts.

This position requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of financial principles and procedures specific to the arts industry and local authority and public funding reporting mechanisms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the organisation, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, payroll records, and expense reimbursements.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the management team to support the management of project and annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budgetary performance and provide regular reports to management, highlighting any variances and recommending corrective actions as needed.

3. Financial Reporting: Support Finance Manager to prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other reports as required. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

4. Cash Management: Monitor cash flow and maintain an efficient system for cash handling, including processing payments, reconciling bank statements, and managing petty cash.

6. Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements. Support the Finance Manager to coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.

7. Payroll and Benefits Administration: Support the payroll process, including accurate and timely processing of employee salaries, deductions, and benefits.

8. Contract Management and Invoicing: Raise and issue invoices in line with contractual arrangements. Support negotiating contracts, reviewing invoices, and ensuring timely payments. Maintain accurate records of contracts and agreements.
