**Street Lighting Agent**

Milestone Infrastructure is the UK’s leading Highways Maintenance and Street Lighting providers.

As a Street Lighting Agent, you will be part of our Wiltshire Street Lighting Team, who are responsible for the overall delivery and performance of the Wiltshire Street Lighting Contract.

**Key Areas and Responsibilities**:

- To assist in managing the operations of the street lighting contract throughout Wiltshire.
- To manage work carried out by sub-contractors and direct labour to ensure quality, safety profitability and client/customer satisfaction.
- Identify process improvements through innovation or adoption of best practice, optimising the use of technology to save time, effort and cost whilst developing a high performing team
- Supporting Contract Management obligations under NEC4 TMC
- To be accountable for leading and managing the site teams to deliver their job purpose and to monitor their performance.
- To manage the resourcing of a varying project workload.
- Adhere to established systems to ensure conformity to appropriate standards.
- Monitor the correct recording and reporting of work.
- To ensure that all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved under the contract.
- Ensure customer satisfaction.
- Supporting the cost Forecasting of projects with commercial team.
- To liaise with clients regularly and frequently, attending internal and external meetings as required.
- To participate in internal management meetings and delegate work.
- To develop relationships within Milestone and with outside parties that will contribute to the success of the Contract and the wider Company.
- Ensure effective management of sub-contractors and suppliers in conjunction with the Quantity Surveyor.
- Agree set and monitor performance objectives in terms of time, cost, safety, quality programme.
- Understand and ensure that financial targets are met in terms of cash flow and profitability.
- Manage site-based personnel issues.
- Provide training, development, and encouragement to staff to ensure all contracts are resourced with sufficient staff competent and motivated for the role expected from them.
- Ensure a regular and robust timetable of internal meetings are implemented with managers for which you are responsible.
- To support the team in Conversion of Pipeline within Term Maintenance Contract.
- Assisting with Third-Party work opportunities.

**Success Measures**
- Ensure that daily pre-task briefings are completed and recorded.
- Noticing and Road Permit requirements (where necessary) are upheld with Wiltshire Council.
- Monitor that the Faults are addressed and repaired in acceptable timeframes.
- Monitor the agreed programme for Routine Maintenance is delivered on time and to cost.
- That a Works Programme is maintained and updated weekly.
- That SMART KPI’s and associated productivity are monitored and reported each month.
- Monthly Operatives site audit in accordance with the HEA Competency Scheme along with ensuring safe systems of work are being complied with.
- Quality of work is actively managed through ITP’s and check sheets.
- Cost of Poor Quality is maintained at minimum levels and reported monthly
- Delivery of work on site in accordance with the Company’s Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Procedures.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/14001/18001, HEA, Sector Scheme and NICEIC.

**Skills & Knowledge Requirements**
- Trade experience or related Job performance.
- Technical capability.
- Experience in leading staff with confidence and judgement ensuring that they work as an effective/efficient team, offering positive and flexible leadership and inspiring, encouraging, motivating and supporting staff to deliver excellent results.
- Track record of profitable contracts delivered to a high level of quality safety and client satisfaction.
- Ability to assess the impact of risk and opportunity and respond appropriately.
- Ability to demonstrate a strong commitment and actions to deliver excellent customer service that focuses on both internal and external customers, working effectively with others to ensure a joined-up service is provided.
- Ability to proactively develop plans, initiate and evaluate change to bring about service improvements through working/consulting with stakeholders including staff, members, and partner agencies.
- Excellent communication, interaction, and Interpersonal savvy.
- Ability to manage people’s performance including coaching, mentoring, developing staff and improving team performance.
- Ability to provide an environment where staff are clear about their objectives, empowered to achieve them and held accountable.
- Ability to utilise the principles and interpersonal skills that underpin successful collaborative and partnership working.
- Experience of successful service improvements and delivering efficient and effective services.
- Awareness of Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
