Do you enjoy being practical, working outdoors and being part of a team? If so, we have a couple of great opportunities to join us as a Mainlaying Operative.

Our network teams provide a vital service, helping to ensure we supply water and provide sewerage services to our customers.

**What you'll do**:
As one of our Mainlaying Operatives, working in a two-person team within, you will carry out the installation of new water mains on the water distribution network, making sure that they meet quality and customer service standards.

You'll be working within a great team, outdoors, dealing with different tasks every day and providing a vital service to our customers.

Some of the tasks that you will be responsible for within this role will include meeting timescales and targets on road and field works to help deliver our programme of works.

This role is based in our Chippenham depot, however, your role covers the north of our region.

**What you'll need**:
You will have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

- a valid driving licence
- previous experience operating as a labourer or performing a manual handling-based role
- a valid NOPORS digger/dumper ticket (beneficial but not essential)
- water main installation experience (advantageous)
- an up-to-date hygiene card (although training can be given)
- a current Streetworks ticket (although training can be given)
- health and safety certification (although training can be given).
