**Hours/working pattern: Full time 37hr per week position.**

**Salary: Grade D £21,189- £21,968 per annum.**

Scalby School is a successful and popular 11-16 community school based in picturesque seaside town of Scarborough on the North Yorkshire Coast. We currently have approximately 1000 students on roll. In recent years we have become the school of choice in our local community. Our P8 score in 2019 placed us in the top 20% of schools nationally again.

Our students are diverse, exciting and talented - and the same is true of our staff. We put huge emphasis on professional development, most of it in-house, and are proud of the highly effective teaching, which characterises our school. We are also noted for our ‘can do’ attitude. We are keen, always, to encourage new and/or young staff to make their mark as soon as they are ready.

**The Opportunity**

We are looking to appoint our key colleague to join us as our new Caretaker. You will need to be flexible and willing to be used during the day by the schools and by the wider community on evenings and weekends. You will be responsible for ensuring sites are safe, secure and unlocked and locked when in use at pre-determined times. A sense of pride in our school facilities and great customer service will be in your DNA as you welcome our whole community to sites across the Coast and Vale Learning Trust.

You will be based at Scalby School but will be required to work in schools across the trust.

In addition, you will be responsible for the supervision and issue of equipment alongside, on occasion, working with tools and cleaning equipment. A love of working outdoors in all weathers is essential

You will need to have access to a vehicle and have a full drivers licence.

Coast and Vale Learning Trust is a growing family of schools located on the beautiful Yorkshire Coast. The Trust was founded by Scalby Secondary School but has grown over the last few years to include Newby and Scalby Primary School, Friarage Primary School, the Scarborough University Technical College (SUTC), Lady Lumley’s Secondary School in Pickering and Filey Secondary School.
