Croydon, United Kingdom Cognivate Rehab Ltd Full time

Neuro Rehabilitation Assistant
**15-20 hours per week**

**Job overview**
We’re looking for a rehabilitation assistant to join our interdisciplinary team, facilitating and supporting intervention programmes for clients who have had a brain injury. Your duties will be highly varied, encompassing direct work with clients and a range of underpinning administrative and organisational activities.

Your clinical work will be directed by our physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech & language therapists, and neuropsychologists: you’ll have opportunities to work in sessions alongside them, and then with clients on your own to practise and embed the activities and techniques recommended by the therapists. You’ll work in a variety of settings including clients’ homes, care homes, and the wider community; some sessions may be undertaken remotely. You will see clients in Surrey, London, and surrounding areas, travelling by car or public transport.

You will also report to and work closely with our chief operating officer, supporting the administration and liaison that is critical to implementing our clients’ rehabilitation. This may involve, for example, helping to organise appointments, meetings, and our online groups.

**About Cognivate**
Cognivate is an interdisciplinary service providing specialist rehabilitation to adults who are living at home after brain injury and have problems which require integrated intervention to help them maximise their independence and quality of life. Our highly experienced team comprises neuropsychologists, neuro occupational therapists, neuro speech and language therapists and neuro physiotherapists

We work collaboratively with case managers, lawyers, health professionals, social workers, employers and families to offer holistic, goal-focused rehabilitation programmes.

**Main duties**
Your overall role is to promote clients’ independence and functional abilities, facilitating the achievement of their goals via interventions designed and overseen by qualified therapists. - Writing clear, concise, accurate and timely client electronic records
- Generating/producing resources and workbooks.
- Communicating any changes in a client's presentation or other useful information in a timely manner.
- Supporting therapist-led online groups, attending and participating in some sessions as directed by therapists and assisting with organisational matters.
- Participating in gathering feedback from clients, carers, and other professionals
- **Administration and liaison**_

You will assist the COO and therapists with a range of organisational issues, and establish and maintain effective communication with the therapists and other professionals involved in each client’s case. This will include:
