London, United Kingdom Continuum Industries Full time

Continuum Industries is on a mission to help the world accelerate the transition to a more sustainable future using Artificial Intelligence. We have developed Optioneer, an AI-powered tool that helps plan new infrastructure projects much faster, more sustainably and with lower risk. Since launch, we have supported over 40,000 km of new linear infrastructure; underground and subsea power cables, overhead transmission lines, hydrogen, and water pipelines. Optioneer is already used by enterprise infrastructure organisations such as; National Grid, BP, RWE, SSEN Transmission, Iberdrola and National Gas Transmission in the US, UK and Europe.

We are looking for a technical author to join our Product/Customer Success team. You’ll develop and maintain content for product documentation, and customer success as well as more technical content for marketing and sales support. You will sit between our product and customer success teams ensuring that our product is well-documented, easy to understand and adopt within customer organisations.

This role will require close collaboration with other departments, and the ability to strategically identify the key needs of customer education and gaps within the existing documentation of the product. Day to day, this will entail maintaining our product portal, ensuring that features released by the engineering team are documented in full, identifying key blockers to customer understanding and adoption and addressing them.

Optioneer is a complex and technical product used by people with highly specialised knowledge within the infrastructure industry such as Civil/Design/GIS Engineers, Environmental Consultants and Project Managers. This role will require creativity, initiative and an outcome-first mindset. Instead, we want you to be an ambassador for customer understanding and own development of any tools that help our customers realise the full value of our offering and adopt it within their organisations.

- ** Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Work closely with customer success, software developers and product managers to ensure document alignment with product updates and goals.
- ** Innovative Documentation Solutions**: Seek innovative ways to enhance the documentation process and content delivery.

**You'll bring**:

- ** Technical Proficiency**: Experience with software product documentation using a modern, online tool stack, going beyond text-only means of communication.
- ** Quality Focus**: A history of creating clear, error-free, and impactful technical content.
- ** Impact**: Proven experience leading documentation projects and enhancing a product's usability through superior content.
- ** Collaborative Spirit**: A natural collaborator who thrives in a team setting and values diverse perspectives.
- ** Communication**: Exceptional ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, ensuring clarity and precision in all communications.
- ** Continuous Learning**: You work to ensure you’re ahead of the curve in your craft; utilising the most effective tools, methodologies and technology to deliver great technical content effectively.
- ** Accessibility**: Experience creating content for complex products consumed by diverse users including different levels of digital proficiency and for people who may speak English as a 2nd language.

**Bonus points for**:

- ** Experience or understanding of the energy/renewables sector**: Previous experience working in the energy or renewables sector is a big plus. A degree in engineering or environmental science would be advantageous.
- ** Visual communication**: experience with graphic design, white-boarding tools like Miro or Mural and generally, creating things that are clear and beautiful.
