**Network Fibre Planner**
We’ve been a recruitment partner with our client for over 10 years years, they‘re a highly respected and innovative Global Telecoms provider and they’re seeking an experienced telecoms and Civils focused
Network Planner for an initial 12 months to work on a strategic FTTP roll out. You will be working as part of an Access Network Planning department and supporting team looking after the wider group in delivering this exciting project objective.
Working with our clients local planning team, you will be tasked with creating the detailed planning packs to facilitate the total traffic migrations from key exchange sites to the designated migration sites. Traffic and systems to be migrated include business customers, points of interconnect as well as residential.
**Key Responsibilities Include**:
- Survey, Design and Creation of detailed underground civil job packs for fibre build
- Survey, Design and creation for overhead telecom networks, deploying new or using existing telegraph poles.
- Survey, Design and Creation of detailed fibre job packs for fibre build
- Understanding of Telecommunication Permitted Development Order and Telecommunication Act.
- Scheduling and prioritisation of planning work activities
- Progress reporting on planning work activities
- Owning, executing, and delivering planning requirements
- Good understanding of requirements for creation of build job packs - including all accompanying documentation for utility stats, road opening notices, detailed network plans with work point instructions, CDM, Bills of Material etc
- Using our clients GIS System, ensure all network components are accurately recorded in the design phase. (this is picked up over a few days)
- Highlight and escalate major design variances to the local planning manager.
- Flexible approach in dealing with amendments to planned information and working with our field teams to agree solutions to problems.
- Ensure accurate completion of all planned work and as built documentation.
**Role requirements**:
- Planning knowledge out to the homes across legacy and current Cable/Telco access network topologies
- Proven track record of planning successful projects
- A telecoms background coupled with planning and you may have worked for one of the major UK telcos, in particular BT. (nice to have)
- Attention to detail and accuracy coupled with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Ability to draw together different technical disciplines
- Able to communicate with people across multiple locations and at different levels
- Able to identify and work with key stakeholders inside and outside of the business
- A total awareness and understanding of current health and safety procedures Knowledge of Microsoft Office and being PC literate - e.g. MS Excel, MS Visio.
**Personal requirements**:
- Willing to be on the island Monday to Friday initially whilst you learn the ropes, then there could be more working from home. We have a team of 10 currently on the island in different roles and everyone’s personal situations are different, some people head back to the UK every 3-4 weeks, others stay for longer and make a semi permanent home.
- You will be used to working in a fast paced and changing environment
- Have a strong positive attitude and excellent rapport and people skills at all levels.

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 12 months
**Salary**: £376.00 per day
