We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about the health of people in Hartlepool, to join our Public Health team as an Advanced Public Health Practitioner.

Public Health Advanced Practitioners play a key role in developing partnerships with and influencing all key stakeholders within their specialist area of responsibility including; implementing, monitoring and leading key public health programmes to reduce health inequalities and improve health and wellbeing.

**Key areas of responsibility will include (but are not limited to)**:

- Lead on implementing the Tobacco Control strategy for Hartlepool by co-ordinating the activity of a range of partners in delivering on the Tobacco agenda, including the development and implementation of a stop smoking service for Hartlepool and vape pathfinder.
- Working across the system to address the wider determinants of health and tackle health inequalities including developing a Health in All policies approach across the local authority.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Master’s Degree in Public Health, Health Promotion or equivalent
- Another relevant degree, or equivalent supplemented by public health improvement knowledge, acquired through training, courses and experience
- Evidence of continuing professional development
