Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Health and Social Care

1. To undertake teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels across a range of courses within the Department (across Worcester and Dudley campuses), drawing on ones own area of specialism to design teaching sessions which maximise the integration of theory to practice and includes module leadership. 2. To contribute to the assessment process for students including the setting, marking and moderation of work, individually or collectively as part of a team in accordance with quality assurance procedures.
3. To design and develop innovative, inclusive and engaging learning materials and assessments, including e-learning, that inspire students to succeed. 4. To participate fully in curriculum development including personal knowledge and expertise in health-related care across all programmes.
5. To act as Personal Academic Tutor. 6. To participate in tripartite arrangements with students/apprentices and practice colleagues to facilitate effective partnership working and student support in placement.
7. To facilitate effective partnerships with local Trusts/Integrated Care Systems and Social Care practice environments. 8. To participate in the recruitment of students/apprentices, including selection events, open days and outreach activities.
9. To actively engage in scholarship that underpins your specialist area, and which contributes to the University and School objectives ensuring up-to-date, leading-edge teaching. 10. Where appropriate, to undertake and disseminate research outputs in a form appropriate to their discipline, e.g., publication and conferences.
11. To carry out academic administrative work and participate in relevant committees within the School and College. 12. To participate in annual staff development and review processes including team away days and course meetings.
13. To participate fully in the life of the School, Department and University and carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Head of School or her/his nominee. 14. Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job; participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff in their development and training.
15. Take steps to ensure and enhance personal health, safety and well-being and that of other staff and students. 16. Carry out these duties in a manner that promotes equality of opportunity and supports diversity and inclusion and takes into account the University's commitment to environmentally sustainable ways of working.
