**Job overview**:
We are recruiting for a new Lead Therapist for the Central Youth Service to work with young people between the ages of 14 and 25.
If you are looking to bring your skill set over to a new environment or are looking to take the step up to Band 8, please apply.

**Main duties of the job**:
Whilst experience working with teenagers or young adults would make you perfectly suited to this role, we are really open to welcoming people from clinical backgrounds who have experience in other areas of mental health. We understand that you will be able to bring with you a wealth of skills and experience to the team and would welcome ways of thinking.

Are you an experienced practitioner who will provide care for presenting young people from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care?
Do you demonstrate safe clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for young people cared for in a mental health setting?

- Professional doctorate level qualification in a related field (e.g. Nursing, Psychology) or equivalent knowledge.
- Post Graduate training in a specific therapy (e.g. CBT, CAT or counselling)
**Desirable criteria**:
- Core profession e.g. mental health nursing, psychology, social work, occupational therapy.
**Experience**:
**Essential criteria**:
- Extensive experience of working in psychological setting with patients with common mental health disorders
- Experience of treating patients with a range of presentations
- Experience of working in a range of mental health settings including primary care, outpatient, community.
**Desirable criteria**:
- Worked in a service where agreed targets in place demonstrating clinical outcomes (e.g. IAPT service).
