**Job Title**: Economic Consultant / Senior Economic Consultant

**Department**: PR+I, Town Centre and Economic Regeneration

**Location**: Bristol / London / Birmingham / Cardiff / Exeter

**Key focus of job**:
To support the Town Centre and Economic Regeneration team a part of the wider Planning, Regeneration, and Infrastructure division across the UK.

**Main tasks**:

- Support the regeneration team with the overall development of business case writing
- Development of cost benefit analysis
- Develop financial modelling
- Appraising social, environmental, and economic costs, benefits, and risks
- Manage interactions with key stakeholders
- To prepare reports and statements, as required, to support work of the team.
- To identify and support on major bids for work
- To understand, appreciate and satisfy financial performance targets.
- To continually strive to improve working practices and client service delivery for the whole team;
- To provide an informed view on national developments and trends in the Public Sector
- To monitor and ensure effective and efficient co-ordination of internal resources to deliver project results for our clients
- To liaise (where appropriate) with other LSH operations and services, particularly in relation to the Planning, Regeneration, and Infrastructure Division
- To represent LSH and the full range of property related services available to clients.
- To contribute to the business development of the wider team

Main capabilities:
Technical Skills
- Degree educated with relevant post degree experience of between two to five years professional experience
- High numerical proficiency and computer Literacy, specifically in Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrate a knowledge of HMT’s Green Book Appraisals
- Demonstrate the ability to make effective presentations to clients;
- Able to develop business planning skills including fee forecasting and fee proposals
