**Job outline/Purpose of the role**

Management of the finance reporting function to ensure that the financial records and systems of the business are accurately maintained, cash flow is monitored and regular, timely management information is provided, both internally and externally.

We are looking for someone with a strong history as a Management Accountant and who is happy line-managing staff in the finance department and being very hands-on. You might aspire to be a Management Accountant.

Principle objectives and responsibilities include the following, other objectives may be assigned:
**Key Responsibilities**:
Assisting the Managing Director with development of the finance strategy and finance objectives to support the company business plan.
Liaison with accountants and tax authorities to meet statutory reporting and compliance requirements.
Oversee the preparation of and filing the quarterly VAT return, working with the Managing Director to prepare annual budgets.
Preparation of quarterly forecasts and preparation of commentary on variance to original budget. Improvement and monitoring of financial controls to minimise risk, ensure accuracy of financial data and safeguard company assets.
Maintaining an up-to-date cash forecast to manage cash flow effectively and maximise interest returns.
Management of the payroll process and maintaining an up to date forecast of employment costs. Monitoring headcount and recruitment requirements.
Line management responsibility for the finance team.
Demonstrate a professional and respectful approach during all interactions whether this be internal or external. To undertake any other task as may be reasonably required.

**Skills, knowledge and expertise**:
Professional accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) 2-3 Years Post qualification experience

**Attention to detail**:
Strong analytical skills
Good communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to influence at all levels Trustworthy with a high work ethic and able to self-motivate
Ability to work using own initiative to resolve problems
**Desirable**:
Able to work with multiple data analysis tools e.g. MS access
Experience of working with Business Central
Advanced Excel skills

**Education and Experience Minimum Requirement**
Professional accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) 2. 5 GCSEs A*-C 3. A Level Maths at Grade B or Higher
