Job Title: Teaching Assistants for Non-Verbal Nursery and Reception Girls

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special needs? Do you possess the patience, empathy, and skills necessary to support non-verbal students in their educational journey? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a school as a Teaching Assistant.
We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to work with two non-verbal students, one in nursery and one in reception. These girls currently face challenges in accessing the curriculum due to their non-verbal status. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting their learning and development, ensuring they receive the assistance and encouragement they need to thrive in the educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to the nursery and reception girls throughout the school day.
- Assist in creating and implementing individualised educational plans tailored to the specific needs of each student.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where the girls feel comfortable and motivated to participate.
- Utilise alternative communication methods and assistive technology to facilitate communication and interaction.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a holistic approach to the girls' education and wellbeing.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to inform future strategies and interventions.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience working with non-verbal children or individuals with special needs is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with students.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the students and the school environment.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or special needs support are advantageous.
