Working in Theatre Recovery as Operating Department Support Worker is a varied and challenging post. This will provide an opportunity to assist theatre personnel in procedures relating to the safe transportation of patients to and from theatre. Assisting in the smooth running of the department including infection control and participating in the immediate pre and post operative/anaesthetic care of both adults and children in a busy theatre environment.

This post comes with an orientation programme in a department which is supported by a full time Clinical Educator and a part time Clinical Educator. We are passionate about investing and developing all our team members.

We are looking for an individual with an active interest in working within Theatre Recovery who can rise to the challenge of working within a fast-paced environment. A friendly and caring manner and a hard-working attitude is essential.

Equivalent experience of working in a caring environment is desirable and a willingness to undertake SVQ Level 3 in Healthcare Support (Clinical).

You will be an excellent team player, motivated, dynamic, reliable, have a positive outlook and a good work ethic.

The post requires a flexible individual, willing to work Fife wide.

Hours will be worked to meet the needs of the service which may include day, night and weekend shifts, if this is required.
