**Health, Safety & Environmental Officer**

Our client, a leading engineer company based in and around Dungannon area who supply a wide range of markets throughout the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe are in search of a **Health, Safety & Environmental Officer **to join their established team.

**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Provide safety training and awareness programs for employees.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations in production and on installation sites.
- Promote employee health & well-being initiatives.
- Oversee health programs, including medical examinations and wellness activities.
- Monitor and manage health-related incidents and injuries.
- Develop and implement environmental policies and sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits.
- Oversee waste management and pollution control efforts.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations related to safety, health, environment, and quality.
- Ensure the Company’s compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Prepare and maintain records, reports and documentation related to SHEQ.
- Analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in all areas of SHEQ.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Conduct emergency drills and provide training for employees.

**Essential Criteria**
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or minimum 3 years’ experience in a relevant role
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, ISO 45001 or equivalent.
- Proven experience in SHEQ management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant UK safety, health, environmental and quality regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
