**About the Role**:

- Assists the implementation of the sites EHS Management Programme through others. With energy, ideas and a can-do attitude and a desire to continually learn and improve.
- Work closely with site operations at all levels to embed a good safety culture, ensuring Britvic’s core values shine through whilst championing a delivery of the site’s HSE objectives.
- To lead and deliver the site HSE plans for people, planet and performance. Ensuring sites compliance with all external health, safety and environmental statutory requirements and standards applicable to site operations.
- Engaging with the wider Business Units and PLC HSE Team to support the Britvic Zero Harm strategy and lead sustainable local initiatives to encourage improved performance and delivery of Plc and BU HSE targets at site level.
- Showing a ‘can do’ attitude, positively influencing at all levels, supporting the implementation of Safety improvement by working with others and bringing them with you.
- Takes a lead role in working with Duty Holders to deliver the Legal Compliance Programme in line with site requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- You will be the first point of call for review of incidents, will be involved in inspections & audits and will coach the managers and supervisor to take responsibility for health, safety & the environment.
- You will undertake projects as directed by the SHE Manager and assist in training and coaching where applicable e.g. inductions and contractor controls.
- You will solve problems and work with the site managers and supervisors and will be positive and enthusiastic about making the site the safe, healthy and sustainable.
- Carry out inspections and audits of key risk areas as directed by the SHE Manager.
- Deputise for the SHE Manager in their absence.
- Ensure accurate, comprehensive, and timely reporting of HSE incidents into the online EHS management system.
- Work with the Site Engineering Manager & Operations Teams to drive the Environmental performance of the site through Zero Loss.
- Ensure risk assessments and other risk documentation/Safe Operating Standards for site operations are maintained up-to-date and periodically reviewed and available in the Integrity management system.
- Support ISO 45001 and 14001 external audits on site - facilitating and hosting external auditors and guiding individual teams in their preparation activities.
- Work together with HR and Team Leaders on site to actively monitor Occupational Health surveillance activities and compliance; understand and respond to trends.
- Plays an active role in coaching & supporting Managers on EHS related matters and acts as a EHS related training for operators and technical teams.

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required**:

- Hands on, practical knowledge and experience working in a similar role within FMCG or other similar business, working with different levels across the organisation to achieve success.
- Proven ability to be able to coach others and bring them with you to deliver key projects in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Able to undertake HSE audits and inspections across site and provide feedback and action plans.
- Proven ability to carry out risk assessments and accident investigation to a high standard.
- Experience of communicating with external agencies, HSE, Environment Agency and auditing bodies
