**Group Sanctions Lead - Financial Crime Compliance**

**Ebury London Victoria Based**

The Group Sanctions Lead will report into the Chief Compliance Officer and will be responsible for managing the 2nd line Sanctions Compliance function within Ebury, one of the fastest-growing Fintech companies in the world.

They will play a key role in maintaining the firm's sanctions compliance framework to ensure alignment with UN, EU, UK and US sanctions and our banking partners.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining the firm's sanctions compliance framework to ensure alignment with UN, EU, UK and US sanctions and our banking partners.
- This includes maintaining and updating the Sanctions Exposure Questionnaire, Corporate and Charities Sanctions Risk Approval process, SRA forms and underlying sanctions procedures
- Deliver and maintain an advisory function to the first and second lines of defence on clients and transactions with potential or actual sanctions exposure
- Developing and maintaining the Sanctions MI to give transparency of sanctions risk across the firm
- Working closely with MLROs on ensuring compliance with the group sanctions policy and supporting local MLROs on resolving matters related to local sanctions
- Ad hoc sanctions advisory support of relevant project work across the first or second lines where consideration of sanctions is required
- Ad hoc sanctions advisory support on new products, business lines, market sectors / verticals, etc.
- Representative at the Financial Crime Executive Committee in respect of sanctions
- Sitting on the Financial Crime Training Academy, which is responsible for creating, developing and approving various financial crime training including targeted sanctions training
- Coordination and management of internal investigations in connect to actual or potential sanctions breaches
- Reviewing and determining whether policy and/or regulatory breaches of sanctions have been committed and carrying out subsequent internal and external reporting obligations
- Carrying out horizon scanning on international sanctions developments and ensuring that Ebury's policy, procedure, systems and controls are in line with expected regulatory changes
