**JOB DESCRIPTION & PERSON SPECIFICATION**

Job Title: Designer

Contract/ Permanent: Permanent only

Reports to: Head of Product

Location of the Role: Ipswich

**Main purpose of the job**

As a Designer within the vsGaming team, you will be involved in all aspects of the creative process from conceptual pieces through to functional designs. You should be an innovator with an eye on emerging trends and technologies. As a key member of the Product Team you will be central to the games design process to include the creation of storyboards, wireframes and design documents. Ideally you should have a good understanding of UI/UX design principles with proven experience to back this up, demonstrable through a solid and extensive portfolio and should be an accomplished user of industry standard design software.

**Key Areas of Responsibilities and Tasks**
- Keeping a continual focus on the quality of our products and play an active part in testing.
- Thinking creatively to produce new innovative ideas.
- Working well in a team, with software developers, designers, account executives, and marketing specialists.
- Where needed, working independently and manage time effectively to meet established project deadlines. Multi-tasking between projects when required.
- Provide project updates to Manager, Project Manager and/or co-workers as necessary.
- Production of all offline & online media as required to the specifications provided.
- Using innovation to redefine a design brief and meet the constraints of cost and time.
- Ensuring that all work is on brand, on strategy and that it fulfills the brief.
- Producing all materials to correct specifications and ensuring high quality of work.
- Keeping abreast of the latest methods and techniques, ever ready to translate our business goals into compelling, usable designs.
- Train co-workers and/or new hires as necessary.
- Take Responsibility for the cleanliness of the working environment.
**Key Performance Indicators**

Quality of work, being able to work to tight deadlines, delivering highly polished finished products.

**Qualifications**

**Essential**
- Significant contribution to a number of software development projects using relevant technologies
- Strong and extensive portfolio
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- Experience of designing for the web / interactive design
- Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/After effects to a high and professional standard
**Desirable**
- Any formal art/design qualification
- HTML5
- Ant, SVN
- Gambling/Gaming experience a huge benefit
- Video Editing / Premier / After Effects
- CSS, PHP
- 3D design
**Education/Qualifications**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
