- To support and manage your team to ensure work is effectively planned and your department is productive.
- Manage efficiencies of SAP process within your department ensuring stock movement transactions are carried out in a timely manner, raising any issues to the Production or Plant Manager and/or relevant stakeholders, be active in identifying and confirming timelines for resolution.
- Perform all necessary inventory management transactions using SAP
- Manage all production Consumables, implement Kanban’s ensuring PPE Stock is reviewed and reordered in line with usage. Ensuring consumable supplies are available and controlled.
- Manage internal forklift/reach truck transportation needs
- Attend Operations meetings, on time and be prepared. Provide information to the Operations Team and your colleagues in these meetings with the use of relevant Management reports.
- Ensure you provide the required level of support and reviews to your Material Handlers and Warehouse colleagues.
- Prepare all necessary documentation/labelling related with the shunting process.
- Ensure timely delivery of packed and bulk orders
- Ensure all quality, environment, health, and safety standards are maintained and recorded accurately.
- Coordinate inventory counts at the site and cycle counting activities to ensure inventory (finished goods, raw materials, packaging materials and WIP) is as accurate as possible
- Ensure your team is compliant in all elements of H&S specific to their role, observe all HSE and Company requirements whilst on their shift; address any anomalies immediately.
- Ensure Timekeeping of you and your team to ensure you have the ability to run a timely and productive department. Ensure warehouse and site is maintained in good order, paying particular attention to site security from intruders.
- Meet and exceed set KPI’s set by the Company.
- Support and manage the team
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a supervisory role
- Experience in a large scale, manufacturing warehouse facility
- Good computer skills (MS Office)
- Experience of using SAP
- Excellent attention to detail and compliance with set procedures
- FLT/Counterbalance and Reach Truck license/proficiency
- Good communication and team leader skills
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes
