Oxford, United Kingdom Reducing the Risk of Domestic Abuse Full time

**Background to the post**

Reducing the Risk (RtR) is a growing Oxfordshire-based charity committed to the safety and empowerment of victims of abuse and of those who support them - and to promoting partnership working. The charity acts as a safe, trustworthy, responsive and inclusive resource for victims of domestic abuse (DA) and their families, through its services in Oxfordshire, and for volunteers and practitioners nationally through its consultancy and training. In particular it has developed the High Risk and Specialist Criminal and Civil Justice Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) Service and Reducing the Risk’s DA Champion Network approach.

The charity plans to grow and develop its services across all of its current areas of work and this post will be vital to supporting and driving that change programme.

**Scope and purpose of the role**
- Provide professional and efficient administration and marketing support to the CEO, training team and IDVA based out of the court, to ensure effective functioning of the charity’s daily business
- Support on a broad range of other activities where required including events, training, social media and website which facilitate the growth and development of the charity
- Manage the hub and support training delivery as necessary and directed by line manager

The Admin Support Officer role is a new post for RtR and will be a key member of the team. The role will support the CEO, the training team and the IDVA based out of the court to ensure the teams are working in an effective and organised manner. As the charity is growing, it is in need of support to ensure that our basic functions and systems are up to date and managed efficiently, and that new initiatives are well managed, recorded and communicated.

The role will report into and work closely with the CEO to ensure that priorities are clear in amongst multiple simultaneous projects and work streams. The job holder will have an immediate impact on the charity and is a great opportunity for someone with the right work ethic to shape the role and help ensure the charity has strong and secure infrastructure, meaning client-facing teams can focus on delivering client-facing work.

Reducing the Risk’s core values are integral to this post: providing advice, consultancy and training and IDVA services which are safe, evaluated, and inclusive and which enable participants to achieve changes in their practice which increase safety and transform the lives of adults and children affected by abuse. This post holder will work to these values.
