**Transport Manager Responsibilities include:**:

- Ensure Health and Safety, Environmental and Operator's License compliance, whilst delivering best in class customer service, measured against business KPIs for Safety, Service and Profitability.
- Provide creative, flexible, tenacious, diplomatic and consistent leadership to develop the Transport Office team.
- Oversee cost control and KPI performance, actively seeking to improve efficiency, reduce operating costs, increasing margin whilst meeting budget as a minimum.
- Efficiently manage 3PL providers including, but not limited to, cost effectiveness, control of expenditure, service excellence and purchase order management.
- Champion a 'customer first’ approach. Understanding and appreciating customer requirements and quality standards.
- Engage with internal and external customers to meet and exceed customer expectations.

**Transport Manager Requirements:**
- Hold a minimum of a National CPC in Road Haulage qualification - this is essential
- Significant demonstrable experience working within a busy traffic office
- Experience of managing a transport/distribution/logistics operation across multiple contracts

**Location**: Cowley, Oxfordshire
**Contract Type**: Permanent
**Hours**: Full Time, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
**Salary**: £35,000-£40,000 per annum depending on experience
