**Early Years Practitioner**

**Location**: Dudley

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to support children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that encourages children's curiosity, creativity, and independence.
- Observe and assess children's progress, identifying individual needs and planning interventions or adaptations as required.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, fostering a sense of belonging and inclusion within the setting.
- Collaborate with parents/carers to share information, provide support, and promote children's well-being and development.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, achievements, and any significant incidents, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Support children's personal care routines, including meal times, toileting, and rest periods, with sensitivity and respect for their individual preferences and cultural backgrounds.
- Contribute to the overall operation and effectiveness of the early years setting, participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development opportunities.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education).
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and its principles, including child development theories and best practice guidelines.
- Experience working with young children in an early years setting, demonstrating a genuine passion for their care and education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Strong observational and assessment skills, with the ability to identify children's individual needs, interests, and learning styles.
- Creativity, adaptability, and enthusiasm for planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning experiences that promote children's holistic development.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures, with a commitment to promoting the welfare and safety of children at all times.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a positive, supportive, and inclusive working environment.
