**Position: Trainee Estimator**

**Salary: £23,000 to £24,000 D.O.E p/a**

**Hours/Location: 40 hours (Mon-Fri) Office based**

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Evaluating drawings to produce an accurate take-off/marked-up area of the project.
- To produce accurate quotations that reflect the clients requirements.
- Updating our bespoke software (4P) to reflect the current status of your quotation.
- Responding in a professional and timely manner to clients when required.

**Other Responsibilities**:

- To liaise with your colleagues on a regular basis to share ideas, offer/receive assistance if required & other general communications.
- Monitor your workload to ensure your time is being used effectively in consultation with the Sales Manager.
- Can communicate in a clear and concise manner to all levels of customers.
- To demonstrate and maintain a positive “can-do” approach to all aspects of the role.

**Key individual Skills**:

- Confident and professional telephone manner and communication skills.
- A good level of computer literacy is essential including knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of Programs. Additional knowledge of Bluebeam is preferred, but not essential as further training will be provided.
- Construction industry knowledge is advantageous but not essential.
- Self-motivated and ambitious would be key attributes.
- Happy to work within a team of ~5-7 other Estimators.
