If so, **Verovian Social Work Recruitment Agency** has an exciting opportunity for you to join a team of professionals as a **Senior Practitioner in Children's Social Care in Durham.**

As a **Senior Practitioner**, you will be a key member of our Children's Social Care team, specializing in supporting children and families in need of intervention and support. You will play a crucial role in providing leadership, guidance, and expertise to a team of social workers, ensuring the delivery of effective and person-centred services to children at risk of harm or neglect.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide expert guidance and support to a team of social workers, including mentoring, supervision, and performance management
- Undertake complex assessments and interventions with children and families, ensuring their needs are identified and addressed in a timely and appropriate manner
- Lead the development and implementation of care plans, in collaboration with service users, carers, and other professionals
- Act as a key point of contact for safeguarding concerns, ensuring that appropriate action is taken to protect children from harm or exploitation
- Represent Oxlon Agency at multi-agency meetings, case conferences, and court proceedings, as required
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and outcomes, under statutory requirements and organizational policies
- Keep abreast of developments in legislation, policy, and research relevant to children's social care, and share knowledge and expertise with colleagues

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Social Work or its equivalent.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS.
- Must be registered with SWE.
- Proof of Address.
- Safeguarding certificate.
- Substantial post-qualifying experience in children's social care, including experience in a senior or leadership role
