**Information Access Officer - Information Governance Team
**About the Role
Lancashire County Council is a large local authority offering a myriad of services to the people of Lancashire. We take our information governance responsibilities very seriously and have introduced a full set of controls to govern our use of information.

The Information Governance Team are part of the Legal, Governance and Registrars service, based at County Hall, Preston and we are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our established friendly and supportive team. This is a very busy role and attention to detail and the ability to manage tasks to strict statutory deadlines are essential.

Whilst not essential, a good understanding and working knowledge of access legislation and the respective exemption classifications would be advantageous (FOIA 2000, EIR 2004, UK GDPR/DPA 2018). Experience of working within a similar role within an information governance, legal or compliance setting would also be desirable.

Interviews* and initial training will take place in person at County Hall, Preston, PR1 8XJ.
- Interviews will take place w/c 4th March 2024

**Skills and Experience/Job Requirements**
- Experience of working in a busy administrational role preferably within an information governance, legal, or compliance role.
- A good knowledge of FOIA, EIR, UK GDPR and DPA
- Practical experience of working within an information rights setting is highly desirable.
- Working to tight statutory deadlines and managing a wide range of complex tasks simultaneously.
- Experience of working in a complex large public sector organisation.
- Experience of dealing with internal and external clients. Excellent organisational and time management skills.
