**Job Summary**:
As a Sales Representative, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and driving sales predominantly within dry goods but also livestock. You will serve as the primary point of contact for calling customers, addressing their inquiries, providing product information, and offering solutions to meet their needs. Your main objective will be to maintain customer satisfaction and build long-term relationships while promoting and selling our dry good product ranges, services and livestock.

This role requires the incumbent to be customer centric and close sales opportunities, have a professional telephone manner and the ability to connect and build relationships with all customers. There will also be the opportunity to build stronger customer relationships through trade events, customer product videos, shop events and talks.

There will be daily handling of sales tasks and general activities that support Sales efforts.

**Responsibilities;** full training given and duties will include but are not limited to:
**Sales**:

- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve assigned sales targets and increase revenue.
- Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the aquatics industry.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to prospective customers.
- Call customers and deliver sales in a timely manner.
- Follow up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and secure repeat business.
- Analyse sales data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales collateral and promotional materials.
- Work with colleagues to support new business projects.

**Customer Support**:

- Provide accurate and detailed information about products, pricing, availability, and delivery options.
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate dry good products/livestock based on their requirements and budget.
- Assist customers with product support including returns
- Resolve customer complaints or issues by investigating problems, developing solutions, and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge to effectively address customer inquiries.

**Relationship Building**:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular communication and follow-up.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or services to meet those needs.
- Provide ongoing support and assistance to customers to ensure their success and satisfaction.
- Attending industry events, and trade shows to network with potential customers and stay updated on industry trends.
- Goal-oriented mindset to achieve sales targets.

**Record Keeping and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate customer records, including contact information, inquiries, and sales activities, using CRM software.
- Generate regular reports on sales activities and customer feedback.

This is a site-based sales position, at our head office in Chorleywood. Some travel to customer sites and trade shows will be required.

**Hours of Work**Monday - Friday 8am-5pm with flexibility in hours to support the operational demands of the business as well as livestock welfare.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £23,000.00-£25,500.00 per year

- Sales: 2 years (required)
- Fish-Keeping: 1 year (preferred)
