**Come and join us as a wellbeing volunteer**

We are busy team delivering the Supported Internships programme. The programme is based around employment and leisure for young adults with learning disabilities between age 16 and 25. We help people to develop skills for work in a employment setting and build their confidence.

As a volunteer you will be a buddy and help people to enjoy and benefit from a range of interests and things they like to do. This will build their confidence and encourage independence too.

By supporting people to get out and about in the their local area you will be helping to promote social skills and reducing social isolation.

You might:

- Go to a local café
- Browse the shops
- Go for a walk
- Go to the cinema
- Encourage a hobby
- Do sports interests

This role is a great way to make a difference to someone’s life, boost their wellbeing and help prepare them for the working world.

Days and times will be arranged between you, the programme coordinator and the people on the programme.

**A DBS check and two satisfactory references will be required for this role.**
