An international Oil Trading Company is looking for a Finance Analyst / Account Assistant to join their growing team based in Uxbridge. Hybrid working arrangement

The position holder will be supporting the Finance function in both London and the company overseas office, the incumbent will undertake various daily duties including the processing of financial information, updating and reconciling accounts, expenses,payments, preparation of management accounts, vat records and assist in the preparation of internal budgets and audit reviews

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Reconcile and process invoices and expenses claims, identifying discrepancies for review
- Process employee reimbursement forms and prepare the payment instructions for approval
- Undertake data analysis and enter data into SAP
- Reconcile VAT invoices against information held in SAP
- Assist in the preparation and filing of the quarterly VAT returns
- Assist with the consolidation and reporting of financial results on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Maintain digital / physical financial and accounting records
- Assist in the preparation and collation of documents for Audit reviews
- Reconcile VAT invoices with SAP data and prepare the VAT return filing on a quarterly basis
- Assist in preparation of month, quarterly and year end accounts
- Reconcile Bank accounts
- Any other ad-hoc tasks as directed by the Finance Manager / CFO
- Assist in the preparation of payment instructions and draft remittance forms

**Skills and experience**:

- BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or AAT accounting qualification
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (proficient in written Chinese and ability to speak Mandarin is highly desirable)
- Experience in basic book-keeping procedures
- Numerate and computer literate (experience of SAP desirable)
- Analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy, especially when working under pressure
- Highly developed inter-personal skills and ability to operate within a diverse environment
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and prioritise own workload effectively
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- A team player
- Demonstratable intermediate knowledge of Excel
