**First Travel Solutions** is looking for Coordination Manager to manage all aspects of the Coordination Team and the resource planning of our Coordinators for our clients.
Engage front line colleagues though effective communication and innovative engagement initiatives which you will design and implement to further drive the quality and safety of this key service provision for clients. Liaise with internal and external stakeholdersincluding Key Account Managers and Operations Managers to ensure that resources are optimised through forward planning and that all are working to the same goal and high standards. You will need to design and implement a comprehensive strategy, working withseveral stakeholders to identify both resource gaps, forthcoming work and any performance issues and introduce solutions.

**The Purpose of the role**:
The principal objective of the role is to provide surety of supply of high quality Coordinators across our rail networks (Avanti West Coast, TransPennine, South Western Railway and Great Western Railway). The position will require a focus on gaining an understandingof the rail replacement industry, the challenges of the Coordination role and engaging and managing casual, remote-based employees.
Your performance will be measured against ensuring our Coordinators meet the quality and compliance standards required by FTS and our clients, maximising efficiency and ensuring that our supply base of Coordinator employees is optimally sized to deliverour service obligations and through monitoring operational performance through the FTS business metrics.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Management of the Coordination Team in accordance with FirstGroup policies
- Ensure that operational teams are competently trained, and able to successfully perform to the required standards (safety and quality)
- Design and implement a strategy for the Operational Support Leads to work to, in order for them to achieve optimal performance and safe practices from our Coordinators
- Manage and drive the Coordination team's performance through guiding the Operational Support Leads, conducting job chats, investigations and formal processes as required
- Design and implement an effective engagement and communication strategy for our Coordinator employees
- Support the recruitment, induction, training and development of an engaged, talented and high performing Coordination team
- Ensure that Coordinator training and refreshers are completed in line with Company policy
- Conduct any disciplinary, grievance or absence management reviews
- Act as the central point of liaison for Coordination staff and Operations Managers on all areas of Coordination administration (including payroll), resource planning and Coordinator performance
- Work within the available future operational plans to assess Coordination staff requirements and ensure that workflow is managed efficiently
- Ensure that the welfare checks are setup on a weekly basis via the PageOne system
- Encourage the use of the Coordination portal across the team by supporting Coordinators in using the portal and ensuring training is provided as required
**Knowledge and Skills**
- Ideally you should be Degree educated, or equivalent.
- You must be agile and able to respond to changing markets and client requirements, comfortable and confident working with the FTS team, able to align with and understand clients' requirement, whilst delivering a high quality service for our clients anda good employee experience for our Coordinators.
- You will be able to establish good working relationships with key stakeholders within FTS and with our clients.
- You will be a proven team player with an ability to lead and motivate your direct reports
- Highly customer orientated, with good commercial focus and understanding of commercial contracts, A developed business acumen with an ability to quickly understand and interpret data.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across a broad range of departments and functions.
