**Human Resources Lead**

North Brink Practice is a large forward thinking practice and we are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team as **Human Resources Lead**.

As HR Lead you will required to provide a high-quality and efficient HR function to the Partners and the Practice Management Team to ensure that all employees of the practice comply with the appropriate HR policies and practice procedures and to support the practice in achieving its’ business objectives.

The post holder will be expected to act on their own initiative and lead on the organisation of all tasks related to employee relations activity.

To support in delivering an efficient and proactive HR service across the organisation, acting in accordance with employment legislation and organisational policy and procedure. To provide a comprehensive, high quality administrative and recruitment support by undertaking a wide range of administrative tasks and efficiently working with office systems and processes.

Part time: 30 hours per week (days/times to be agreed)

£24,058 per annum /£15.38 per hour (£30,000 full-time equivalent) depending on experience and skills

**Job Summary**:
As HR Lead you will required to provide a high-quality and efficient HR function to the Partners and the Practice Management Team to ensure that all employees of the practice comply with the appropriate HR policies and practice procedures and to support the practice in achieving its’ business objectives.

**Main tasks and responsibilities**

1. To support in the planning, review and development of HR strategies, processes and practices

2. To take the lead in the management of employee relations ensuring cases are completed within the stated timescales and that best practice and employment law is followed.

3. To support in the development of HR policies and procedures and take the lead in specific policy review and development. This will involve interpreting changing legislation and developing policies in line with best practice, and devising communications plans for the implementation of policies.

4. Ensure all staff are up-to-date with practice policies and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.

5. To assist the Practice Manager to ensure that all statutory requirements are met.

6. To provide a professional and credible service to the organisation on implementation of policies for handling a range of HR matters including disciplinary, grievance, recruitment and selection, bullying and harassment, absence management, capability and organisational change issues, taking account of statutory requirements. This includes supporting managers in the handling of highly sensitive, highly complex and challenging employment issues, ensuring a consistent approach, and supporting managers at meetings/hearings.

7. To provide support to managers providing them with data such as turnover/absence/training in relation to their services.

8. Take an active part in all relevant practice meetings when required, providing reports and data as needed.

9. To support the team and organisation with CQC compliance and inspections ensuring that HR data is ready and accurate to be submitted.

10. To support with facilitating organisational change and change management initiatives and, as appropriate, take the HR lead in conjunction with the relevant manager. This will include working with the relevant manager in developing communication/consultation timetables to support positive employee relations throughout the implementation of organisational change and developing effective working relationships.

11. To oversee the HR Administrator, ensuring that all recruitment and hr administration is completed in a timely manner. To ensure all pre-employment checks are completed prior to start date of employment including qualifications, registrations, references, medical indemnity, Disclosure and Barring, Hepatitis B status.

12. To support the managers in the monitoring of probation periods, monitoring progress, identifying training needs and probation completion.

13. To ensure the managers and staff are compliant with the holiday booking process i.e. entitlements, administration, and holiday booking timescales.
