Your New role

We currently have an opportunity for a Programme Delivery Manager to join our team in the North West. Within this role, you will be leading a Regional team of Project Managers, with responsibility for the detailed design, construction and post completionphases of a portfolio of renewal and improvement projects. Strong collaborative behaviours with our supply chain and key stakeholders and a real focus on safety is critical to enable the successful delivery of a challenging programme of work in line with ourimperatives of Safety, Customer and Delivery.

What you’ll be leading on
- The delivery of a complex, Regional programme of Designated Funds and Capital Technology Renewal projects through the Detailed Design, Construction and Post Construction phases of the project lifecycle.
- Manage, lead and motivate project managers and project teams, ensuring effective utilisation and allocation of team resources to successfully deliver programme of work and effectively manage change to achieve annual cost, schedule, quality and output targets.
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external project stakeholders.
- Monitoring of and reporting upon programme and spend performance and forecasting. Ensuring full mutual understanding of the programme, strategic and delivery objectives and outputs.
- Management and integration of suppliers and services appointed through the appropriate NH procured Framework into project development and delivery phases.
- Ensure full compliance with National Highways Operations Quality Management System (QMS), DMRB and all relevant standards and legislation, including CDM 2015.

To be Successful
- Proven record of leading projects team to deliver high safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Recognised qualification in relevant engineering discipline or a proven track record in delivery of highways, technology and civil engineering projects and programmes.
- Recognised qualification in Programme / Project Management or demonstrable experience of managing a complex programme of work including change management.
- Knowledge of NEC4 ECC contracts.
- Extensive experience of managing project teams, suppliers and stakeholders within a diverse environment.
