Agriculture Recovery Officer - North West Victoria

**Location**: Mildura or Swan Hill - (flexibility within the region may be available)

**Salary**: $90,067 to $102,192 + super.

**Please note**: Due to Machinery of Government changes under Section 30 of the Public Administration Act (PAA), effective 1 January 2023, your employment will be with the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action. Corporate Services, including payroll, will be provided by the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions while a process for the formal transfer of staff in impacted areas is implemented.
The Agriculture Recovery Officer will work collaboratively as part of a team of technical experts and local partners to coordinate the delivery of timely, tailored services and resources to flood affected farmers across North West Victoria. Reporting to the Agriculture Recovery Manager Sunraysia, the position will be a key point of contact to support horticulture farmers and local partners and will coordinate place-based activities and events.
Working across the North West region you will work closely with the Horticulture and broader Agriculture Services team to coordinate delivery of technical workshops, webinars, field days and events, including the delivery of technical information. You will use your customer service skills to respond to farmer enquires and connect them with appropriate support.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Tertiary degree qualification in science, agricultural science, natural resource management or an equivalent science qualification is preferred but not mandatory.

This is a fixed termposition available until 31 December 2023. The work location for this position is Mildura or Swan Hill - (flexibility within the region may be available).
