SharePoint and MS Apps Technical Lead is required to join a vibrant retail organisation based in Central London/hybrid working. As SharePoint Lead, you will be focused on building and managing the organisation’s SharePoint environment including both projectwork and problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Primary technical lead for Microsoft SharePoint
- Good knowledge and ability to learn and maximise the potential in MS apps.
- Responsible for the security best practices and standardisation on the SharePoint infrastructure to comply with industry standard frameworks and policies
- Maximise integrity and functionality of SharePoint through appropriate strategic planning, design, operation, maintenance and monitoring of hardware, software where applicable.
- Deliver technical solutions in conjunction with other projects and work with Service Desk team for systems that require specialist internal support resources.
- Ensure IT systems are fully documented to audit changes and updates and to support business change and operations.
- Plan, organise, and manage technical support for relevant technologies within the SharePoint Tower.
- Lead and participate in working with other departments to provide proactive, responsive, and timely solutions to customer and product issues
- Takes accountability and resolves any issues preventing the achievement of timely, quality, and cost-effective results
- Ensure appropriate systems, policies, budgets, controls, and procedures are in place to support sound, legal practices in support of the strategic direction of the business.
- Stay current with technological developments in systems administration technology and make recommendations to the Infrastructure Manager on most appropriate IT solutions to meet current and future business requirements.
- Design in line with data management best practices and considering the best use of technology including options outside of SharePoint.
- Ensure appropriate cover is always maintained across the Technical Support areas
- Provide technical expertise in resolving problems and implementing changes to the IT infrastructure (this may result in occasional work out-of-hours or at weekends)
- Designing SharePoint solutions that can be business owned and managed.
- Work closely with the Azure hosting lead to maximise the use of the environment and to provide back up and support on the wider MS Apps technologies.
- Provide monthly/quarterly reports as required to include, but not exhaustive to infrastructure usage, growth, capacity planning.

Key Skills & Experience:

- Microsoft cloud technology infrastructure design and support: Office365 (Exchange, SharePoint, MS Office) and Azure
- Management of Content Management Solution according to business needs
- Extensive experience with SharePoint Files migration from on premise environment and detailed knowledge of data protection and disaster recovery concepts
- Demonstratable leadership and organisational skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team of professionals capable of achieving aggressive business goals and objectives.
- Extensive experience and high-level responsibility for security within a multi-site network
- Small scale Project Management and implementation experience covering any of the above areas
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including verbal, written, negotiation, and platform communications
- Ability to understand complex issues and explain them to both technical and nontechnical staff
- Possess a strong people orientation with the ability to listen, work and resolve issues to achieve customer satisfaction
- Basic Supplier Management
- Exposure to an international environment is desirable
- MS-101 Certified
- Experience of MS Azure
- General Networking understanding
- Experience with Netapp Storage
- PRTG Monitoring (Or Similar) knowledge
