In the Payment Coordinator job, you will be:

- Working closely with colleagues and outside agencies to ensure outstanding income is recovered and action taken to minimise arrears of rent or other debts and assisting tenants with their housing and other benefits
- Manage arrears on a portfolio of properties including court procedure and action in line with policies and procedures
- Liaising with Assistant Payment Coordinators in arranging home visits to tenants in arrears and provide advice in all areas of income recovery
- Maximising income to the organisation through debts, rents, service charges and other payments, ensuring prompt payment of monies due and assisting tenants with budgeting support, and housing and benefit related queries
- Liaising with other team members when downsizing cases are identified,
- Attending neighbourhood surgeries as and when required
- Carry out such other duties and responsibilities consistent with the level of responsibility of the post

To be considered for the Payment Coordinator job you must have:

- Full UK driving licence with access to vehicle
- Experience of working in a housing related field / in a similar role
- Strong administration, data handling and IT skills including Word and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and persuasion skills
- An ability to defuse conflict and deal with difficult situations
- Decision making, communication and problem-solving abilities
- Hold a current DBS or willing to undertake one

This is a full-time temporary role for a minimum of 2 month initially, (37 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and you'll be based in offices in Abergele.

In return, you will receive a competitive hourly pay rate of £13.96 + holiday accrual.
