Buyer

FINTEC recruit is looking for an experienced **Buyer** for their engineering client in Lochaber. This is a permanent role, working Monday to Friday 37 hours per week. Salary negotiable by experience plus benefits.Working with in a small procurement team. Working closely with the Procurement Manager in delivering procurement services.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the Procurement Manager and stakeholders with supplier issues, communications or concerns impacting on business operations.
- Carrying out procurement processes in relation to data collection, spend analysis and negotiation and contract awards.
- Assist with sourcing new vendors, resolving any conflicts relating to materials or services
- Provide detailed analysis against cost savings and cost avoidance
- Communicating across functions and departments on procurement related issues and delivery schedules
- Monitoring and managing performance of suppliers against contract performance indicators.
- Oversee expediting and monitoring of suppliers
- Adhere to health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self, staff and visitors

**Skills and Experience required for the Buyer role**:

- Experience of working in a buyer or procurement role
- CIPS qualification desirable, not an essential.
- Eye for detail and good communication skills
