Salary**:£9.68 Basic £14.52 Overtime**

Shift pattern**:Rotating shifts and Nights | **48 hours per week - 4 x 12 hour shifts Or 24 hours per week - 2 x 12 hour shifts Days and Nights allocated by rota (Perm Nights possible)

**Role responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Warehouse Shift Managers you will ensure that the operation meets the customer service requirements by completing each function to the highest standards.
- Booking Goods-In loads & despatching loads using Freighter & WMS.
- General surveillance duties ie. monitoring cameras, site patrols, searches when required.
- Reception duties ie. receiving post, letting visitors in, monitoring in/out gate.
- Weekly meter & fuel pump readings
- Fire alarm tests every week
- Locker key distributions & check
- Daily checking & filing of information sheets with manually inputted data
- Communication with Goods-In, despatch & the shunter to ensure smooth operating of yard.
- Cleaning duties. -Control of all sub-contractors/permit to works & visitors.
- Ensuring day-to-day safety of all colleagues & visitors
- Responsible of first aid incidents. -Complete control of the yard on Saturday nights.
- Ensuring all data is correctly collected -Reporting to the Security Team Leader, the Security Lodge is manned 24 hours, 7 days a week
- To maintain a daily Gate House Log of security duties, incidents and any action taken and relevant reports are completed
- Liaise with shunters to ensure a productive flow of vehicles within the yard
- To produce and maintain daily movement sheets of all vehicles arriving at and leaving the site
- To provide reception cover
- To prevent the events leading to fire, minimise the loss through fire and report any fire hazards..
- To prevent the events that could lead to accident/incidents/personal injury by reporting any Health & Safety hazards in advance.
- Booking-in on WMS and recording manually of vehicles arriving at the depot.
- Maintaining an up-to-date movement list of all trailers. -Ensuring all subcontractor vehicles arriving on site have the correct booking-in reference and arrival time
- Giving all visiting drivers advice on yard safety procedures etc
- Regular patrols of warehouse, admin area and perimeter fence, with locking down at weekends
- Issuing Work Permits to all sub-contractors at weekends.
- The person should be able to communicate effectively at all times, construct concise and accurate reports and be able to cope with demands of the job. -SIA Licence holder desirable but not essential -Previous security experience would be advantageous.:

- Working in pairs 95% of time inside in warm environment

**Salary**: £9.50-£10.33 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

- Brockworth, Gloucestershire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
