Annie Haak Designs is an independent online jewellery retailer. Our jewellery is made to order with a large percentage of our range being handmade in our Petersfield office.

Having been in the industry for over 10 years, we currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic professional who is passionate about finance and making a real difference to the business they work in.

The role is full time based in Petersfield with the potential of hybrid working after successful probation period is completed. Reporting to our Managing Director, Operations Manager, and other key internal stakeholders, you will also work with our external accountants on a monthly basis.

The office environment is a busy hive of activity and open plan. We have a great team and although the role is standalone, we are looking for a team player happy to pitch in when needed.

**About the Role**:
The role is essential for ensuring the company financial records are complete, accurate and organised. You will be the go-to person for any financial queries to assist the company in making informed decisions and identifying areas where the company can improve on profitability.

An important part of the role is managing all purchasing within the business and, in particular, overseeing the stock management system facilitating the ordering of product at the optimum time to minimise stock holding times, ensure physical accuracy of stock held and measuring obsolescence. The purchase ordering you control will be closely monitored against the annual budget in each area of the business.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Processing payments (in multiple currencies), invoices, income, and receipts and entering data into accounting software or databases.
- Month end reports
- Reconciliation of sales and refunds to payment platforms.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions including credit control.
- Preparing data for Accountant to process Management Accounts and VAT
- Helping the Accountant with administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts.
- Management of cashflows on a daily basis and reporting internally.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets.
- Submitting ONS Surveys.
- Sage Backups.
- Preparing employee wages to submit to Payroll.
- Managing employee expense claims.
- Purchase Order monitoring, understanding when the business should place orders in accordance with targets, budget, and cashflow, communicating with internal stakeholders.
- Extraction of data to produce reports for internal stakeholders e.g., bank balances, exchange rates, sales - monetary value and item sold, marketing gifting, marketing spend, charity donations, e-commerce channel data extraction for marketing.
- Assist with the interpretation and understanding of monthly management accounts produced by the external accountants.
- Preparing an analysis of monthly cashflow movements for incorporation into the external accountants monthly management pack
- Assist new collection launches by reviewing RRPs based on set GP margins.
- Calculate raw material usage costs and track unit costs.
- Report and analyse stock level and value.
- Assist the MD and Operations Manager by providing data that can be used to inform decisions.
- Coordinate periodical stock takes, ensuring that accurate stock values are recorded and understood.
- Ad hoc finance tasks.

**Personal Attributes and Experience**:

- Experience in a similar position; preferably minimum 4+ years.
- Understanding of foreign currency i.e, processing payments in multiple currencies.
- Attention to detail to ensure data entered correctly and recognise errors.
- Mathematical skills.
- Administrative skills.
- Computer literacy in particular Sage and Microsoft Office - Excel, Outlook.
- Multi-tasking.
- Organisational skills.
- Interpersonal skills for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work to deadlines.

Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am till 5pm (1/2hr lunch break)
