This pivotal role is centred on championing hospitality excellence within Starbucks' company-operated stores across the UK. The Head of Equity Operations will drive the brand's mission of delivering outstanding customer service, fostering community connections, and ensuring operational excellence with a focus on sustainability and local market engagement. This leader will embody Starbucks' principles, prioritizing the creation of a welcoming, inclusive environment for all customers and partners.

We will look to you to bring your experience in the following:

- Lead with a hospitality-first mindset, ensuring all stores deliver an exceptional Starbucks Experience that is consistent, personalized, and exceeds customer expectations. Implement initiatives to elevate the customer service model, focusing on training, development, and customer feedback
- Implement and monitor KPIs around customer satisfaction, operational cost efficiency, revenue growth, and sustainability goals
- Develop leadership within the team to ensure a robust pipeline of talent and succession planning within the retail operations function
- Cultivate a forward-thinking approach within the team. Leading through change with a focus on future opportunities in the retail landscape
- Ensure all operations adhere to local and international laws, including health and safety standards, employment practices, and environmental regulations. Drive sustainability initiatives and maintain operational efficiency that aligns with Starbucks’ global standards and local requirements
- Contribute to the development of the UK Annual Operating Plan and quarterly forecast updates working in partnership with other functional leaders
- Work with the functional leaders to set a collaborative and aligned approach for the rollout of UK activities, and provides insight and decision making for improvements in trading performance and business KPIs. Supports the prioritisation and communication of targeted activity to improve performance
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including local communities, suppliers, UK and EMEA teams

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a retail/beverage environment is essential, with a preference for experience in environments similar to Starbucks' operational scale and complexity
- Adaptable to working flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to align with business needs and store operations
- A passion for delivering high-quality customer experiences and a deep understanding of hospitality principles
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and develop relationships with an array of stakeholders
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving improvements in customer satisfaction and operational performance
- A collaborative leader who values diversity, inclusivity, and team development
- Resourceful, adaptable, and innovative, with a keen eye for identifying opportunities to enhance the Starbucks brand and customer experience
