We are very fortunate to have fantastic leisure facilities as part of our hotel. The Barracuda Club boasts a 14 Meter Heated Swimming Pool, Sauna, Steam Room & Jacuzzi as well as a fully equipped gym. As well as being loved by our guests, the club operates as a private membership club.

The hotel is popular for large events including weddings, birthday celebrations and conferences. The hotel also boasts banqueting facilities including grand ballroom for up to 350 guests.

The hotel is centrally located right in the heart of Dumfries, 5 minutes from the train station and a stopping point on a number of bus routes.

**The role of Events Coordinator**

We are seeking a talented and highly organised Events Coordinator to join our team at The Cairndale Hotel and Leisure Club. As an events coordinator, you will play a vital role in planning, coordinating and executing a wide range of events, including conferences, weddings, corporate meetings and social gatherings. You will work closely with clients, vendors and internal departments to ensure that each event is flawlessly executed and exceeds guest expectations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with clients to understand their event requirements, including desired dates, budget, themes and specific needs.
- Assist clients in selecting suitable event spaces within the hotel and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless event execution.
- Prepare detailed event proposals, including budgets, timelines and deliverables.
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, answer questions and address any concerns.
- Conduct post-event evaluations and gather client feedback to improve future event experiences.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in event coordination, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast paced environment.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

**Salary**: £22,500.00-£25,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dumfries: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Event Management: 1 year (preferred)
