An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Psychologist aspiring to develop their skills within a rare hybrid preceptorship post. The post holder will join the Sandwell Under 5s multi-agency autism assessment team for three days of the week, where they will focus on assessment, formulation, multi-agency working, service development and consultation. The remaining two days of the week will be spent working therapeutically in Core CAMHS, focusing on 1:1 work, staff training, group development and supervision.

Sandwell CAMHS values the diverse skillset that Psychologists bring to a team and this post has been created to maximise the opportunities and diversity within this role. This post allows for the development and refining of therapeutic skills whilst working with a diverse range of ages and presentations, and supporting the skill development of other team members, whilst also honing specialist knowledge of autism, consultation and service development assessing for autism within the multi-agency team.

Psychologists already working at an 8a banding WILL also be considered for this post and are encouraged to apply.

This post is well-tailored to developing competencies that facilitate career development and has become available due to the previous post holder securing career development beyond this banding.
