Nineteen Recruitment is delighted to working with a local client, recruiting on their behalf for a SEN Officer, a role that is based in the South Tyneside area.

This is a temporary role that commands a standard hourly rate of £22.55 per hour.

**Job description**

As a SEN officer, you will be facilitating and planning meetings with young people with SEN across a 0 - 25 age range. You will be leading assessments and completing the planning process on behalf of families and services across a range of schools and service providers, which will include education, health, social care, and voluntary sectors.

You will be working alongside young people and their parents, developing professional relationships and ensuring they are constantly involved in the process and kept well informed.

As well as this, you will be determining the appropriate provision to meet the individual’s SEN needs, alongside other peers and professionals. After selecting the appropriate provisions you will then be creating and completing EHC plans and assessments. Whilst doing this you will need to ensure compliance is completed within a set timescale for transition reviews.
- Experience of creating and reviewing EHC/care plans
- Teaching/Education degree or equivalent
- GCSEs graded C or above in English and Mathematics
