Haines Watts Chartered Accountants offer a wide range of services covering Accountancy, Audit, Tax and Payroll with specialist knowledge and extensive experience with Charity & Not For Profit, Property and UK Subsidiaries. Their Swindon team is growing and they are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join them.

This role:

- Prepares VAT returns for a range of clients
- Uses cloud-based software to input client’s base records
- Reconciles client bank accounts, VAT, and other balance sheet items
- Manages a portfolio of clients and ensure all VAT records are requested, prepared and submitted by their deadlines
- Analyses client’s income and expenditure ensuring all items are consistently coded to the correct place in the profit or loss account
- Communicates with clients regarding queries
- Reviews client VAT workings as applicable

Hours are typically 9am-5.30pm in the office, apart from Wednesdays when the whole team work from home.

**Requirements**:

- AAT qualified
- Experience with Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks
- Excellent written and verbal skills communicating with colleagues and clients.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills
- Self-motivated with an ability to manage your own workload
- Ability to work well with others and build good working relationships
