**Your new company**
You will be working for a multinational, highly profitable privately owned business and will be based at their operation in Kidderminster.
**Your new role**
In your new role you will an integral part of the Logistics function, working as the Goods In Supervisor and will report directly into the Warehouse Logistics Manager. You will primarily have responsibility for the Goods in and put away operation, but willhave to assist in other areas when required. The operation has over 16,000 pallet locations and stores close to 76,000 SKU's, with a general throughput of 160,000 lines per annum. You will be responsible for leading a team of 18 colleagues, overseeing theirdevelopment, which will include quarterly staff reviews, managing team and individual KPI's as well as ensuring all business objectives are met. You will also oversee absence management, return to work, accident investigation and CI initiatives across yourdepartment. You will have to resolve any issues in the Goods In department, along with upholding and enforcing H+S standards to create a safe working environment. You must be confident in leading a function and taking full accountability for the performanceof your department. This will include helping to formulate process improvements and better working practises for your team.
**What you'll need to succeed**
In order to succeed you will have worked in a similar position within a fast-paced distribution environment. You will be a strong people leader and will have prior experience of managing and motivating a high performing team. Ideally to be considered, you willhave managed teams of 20 colleagues or more. You will be strong user of IT systems and WMS which could include the likes of Link, Manhattan, Redprairie or a similar interface. You will be confident in managing through the use of objective setting and willbe able to use KPI's to track performance. You will be a clear communicator who can manage and implement change strategies effectively. Ideally, you will have exposure to working within the 3PL sector, however this is only advantageous and is not a necessityfor the role.
